Welcome to Tartan Butterfly where we offer handmade, unique baby shoes and other gifts in Genuine Harris Tweed and a range of other fabrics.
Established in January 2011 by Jackie Stanford, Tartan Butterfly dresses the feet of the most fashionable babies both at home and abroad and offers other personalised gift items such as cushions, brooches and decorations.
All the items are lovingly handmade by Jackie in her little workshop at her home in Aberfoyle, Scotland using a combination of new and recycled high quality fabrics including Genuine Harris Tweed, Moon Wool, cotton and leather with personalised options offered where possible. This gives a unique quality that ensures our gifts will become treasured keepsakes for years to come.
About the Maker
Jackie Stanford lives with her Husband and 2 children in Aberfoyle but grew up in the Isle of Skye. She left to study Business at Glasgow Caledonian University which led on to working for 12 years at an IT Company. In 2010, after having her 2nd child and while working part time, she started making little shoes for her own baby girl, progressed to giving them away as gifts and, as so many people where asking about them, in 2011 decided to set up what became Tartan Butterfly.
In July 2014, Tartan Butterfly became Jackie's full time employment with online orders being sent worldwide and stocking several shop outlets across Scotland and the Lake District.
